Fixed blade knife GrandWay XG-B is in fact a small machete with an inwardly curved blade similar to Nepalese kukri.
Machete is used as a good cutting tool and as a weapon which is a reliable assistant in bushcraft conditions, especially in cases where an axe or saw is not particularly needed. In many cases it is still the basic utility knife.
Due to its parameters this rather large knife has the maximum splitting effect when meeting objects. The center of gravity of the kukri is shifted from the handle to the blade. Thus, working with this blade, we strike powerful blows, not using muscular strength, but we work at the expense of weapon inertia. It is very convenient for long felling of a large and solid tree.
Kukri is a kind of multi functional instrument or tool that includes a machete, a hatchet and a cleaver knife for heavy work.
The steel grade used for this XG-B is 420. It is optimal for machete-shaped tools, the blade at the same time has a hardness of 52-55 units about Rockwell. This steel provides XG-B with strength and durability, making it easier to sharpen, in all conditions. The blade of 420 steel also perfectly resists corrosion and rust.
The handle of the XG-B is made of reliable plastic, and has a shape that provides a comfortable and stiffly grip of the knife-kukri in the hands.
Knife XG-B comes with a sheath made of artificial leather.
Magnificent appearance combined with compactness makes of this knife a perfect gift.
